Financial controller, Health tech
At Platform24, we have an uncompromising focus on making every day better for both patients and clinicians. We serve healthcare regions, private care providers, and insurers across Sweden, Denmark, the Netherlands, and other expanding European markets.
We are now looking for a Financial Controller to join our team and take broad ownership of the financial operations and reporting that keep Platform24 running and growing.
How we work
Our in-house finance function is intentionally lean: the CFO and you. The day-to-day bookkeeping is handled by our external accounting partner, and your role is to own the financial intelligence layer on top of it. You will partner with the CFO and take ownership of everything from billing and month-end quality to group consolidation, tax, CSRD, and board reporting.
This setup gives you a rare combination in a company of our size: a broad, hands-on remit and direct exposure to the whole organization's leadership. You will work closely with our CFO and have visibility across Product development, Commercial, and the leadership team.
Your role
This is a broad role that spans operational ownership, group accounting, and analysis. Your responsibilities include:
Owning the billing cycle end-to-end, ensuring that invoicing and revenue recognition are accurate, timely, and aligned with our commercial agreements. Billing quality directly impacts our cash flow, and you will help us continuously improve the process.
Owning the accounts payable process, ensuring that supplier invoices are reviewed, approved, and paid on time, and that the AP ledger is kept clean and reconciled.
Quality-assuring the deliveries from our external accounting partner, including monthly, quarterly, and annual closings. You will challenge, review, and validate the work so that our numbers can be trusted.
Consolidating financial results across our group entities and handling internal eliminations.
Managing group-wide tax matters and filings, including Transfer Pricing documentation and Corporate Income Tax.
Taking ownership of our CSRD reporting process and developing it as Platform24 matures its sustainability disclosures.
Producing board and owner reporting that is clear, accurate, and on time, and supporting controlling and BI work that helps the business make better decisions.
Identifying and driving improvements in our financial processes, tools, and reporting, with an interest in how AI and automation can help us work smarter as Platform24 continues to grow.
For the right person, there is also room to grow into business controlling, including budgeting, forecasting, and commercial analysis.
Who you are
You combine solid accounting craftsmanship with a pragmatic, hands-on attitude. To thrive in this role, you need to be comfortable owning the full spectrum, from the operational details to the strategic conversations.
We believe you bring:
A university degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, and a solid understanding of Swedish accounting principles.
At least 5 years of qualified accounting experience, ideally from a similar broad role, and a few years from a Big 4 firm is a plus.
Proven experience across the full accounting cycle, including group consolidation, internal eliminations, and tax compliance.
Strong Excel skills, and ideally experience with finance and BI tools.
A detail-oriented and analytical mindset, paired with a proactive approach to identifying improvements and driving change.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with both our external accounting partner and internal stakeholders across the business.
The ability to maintain accuracy under deadlines, and the flexibility to move between operational delivery and strategic conversations.
Full professional proficiency in Swedish and English, written and spoken. Both are required.
Nice to have
Experience from a SaaS, healthtech, or other recurring-revenue business model.
Experience with CSRD.
Hands-on experience developing controlling routines or BI tools (e.g., Power BI).
Experience supporting a finance function through scaling, system implementation, or working with an outsourced accounting setup.
What we offer
Meaningful innovation. Combine financial craft with cutting-edge healthtech to tangibly improve healthcare at scale. This is work that matters.
A seat at the table. A broad role with real ownership, working side by side with our CFO and with direct visibility to the leadership team.
Work together. Collaborate closely with kind, skilled colleagues across the company, where trust, shared ownership, and everyday teamwork drive real progress.
Hybrid setup. A hybrid setup with three days per week in the office,
Stockholm's most scenic office. Enjoy our beautiful location in Münchenbryggeriet, with a stunning view of Riddarfjärden, a great lunch restaurant, and a private gym.
Culture & balance. Flexible hours, bi-weekly Demo & Beers sessions, and five paid volunteer days per year for causes you care about.
